My Path to Essential Oils and Aromatherapy

Essential oils have been used over a thousand years for their healing properties, and aiding in relaxation. They can be found in the bible, in history books of figures such as Cleopatra, the Greek first physician Hypocrites, and gladiators in ancient Roman times.
My introduction of essential oils was at a young age. I was around 5 years old, and I remember my grandmother applying eucalyptus and camphor salve on my chest and feet when I was sick with a cold and congested, and peppermint essential oil mixed in a carrier oil on my temples and back for my fevers.  My favorite scent memory was her perfume.  She always wore a fragrant from an aromatic spray that had rose essential oils.
When I became pregnant, afraid of taken my Imitrex for migraines, a kind lady and teacher with an Ayurveda background recommended I try smelling clove essential oils (along with peppermint).  When I got an insect bites, or had a bad reaction from an eyebrow wax, I'd rub lavender essential oils.
I always had an essential oil on me but it wasn't until I developed a lower back pain, and a massage therapist offered therapeutic relief along with some essential oils did I realized that I had found my calling.
Essential oils can have soothing effects on the mind and emotions, and Aromatherapy can further contribute instantly by soothing and balance both body and mind.  It’s a great way for me to help you, the client, achieve a well-being outcome.
